As part of the people's movement of the United Nations, UN Youth ACT is dedicated to educating and empowering young people. We run school visits, conferences, competitions and day forums on global issues like poverty, climate change and conflict. If you are a young person, we'd love for you to get involved.

  • School Ambassador's Program
  • The UN Youth School Ambassadors Program engages secondary school students (in years 10-12) in organisational, public speaking and advocacy skills. Trained UN Youth members act as mentors for groups of ambassadors, giving students the opportunity to network with interested peers across the ACT. More details can be found here.

If you are or know a secondary school student who would like to get involved, email the ACT School Ambassadors Director, Bill Browne.

  • Introduction to UN Youth
  • THIS FRIDAY ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED

From 5:30 on Friday (Aug 23rd) , starting in the Copland Courtyard (at ANU), we'll be running a workshop on what UN Youth does. We'll be talking about what we do, how we do it, why we do it, and, most importantly, how you can get involved.

Afterwards, we'll all be heading to Zen Yai Thai in Civic where we'll have the chance to get to know each other a little more and just generally have a good time.

    In short:

This Friday, from 5:30pm starting in the Copland Courtyard, we'll be getting to know UN Youth and each other.
